I have been teaching Maths for 5 years, ranging from Pri 1 to Sec 5. Different students have different approaches towards learning. My strategy is to understand the students first and then find a suitable approach for each of them. A Maths/E Maths can be a challenging subject, as one not only has to understand the concept and be able to apply, one also has to understand their weaknesses to combat their carelessness. I strive to motivate and inspire them to bring out their optimal capabilities and for them to feel accomplished about it.
Express students who started off with marginal passes/ fails managed to score distinctions (A1s and A2s) in O'levels; 2 NA students managed to score B3s in O'levels. 1 NA student scored distinctions in both A/E Maths in NA level and ranked 2nd in school.
