3 years of tuition experience:
- 1 year of conversational English tuition to Vietnamese students and adults,
- 2 years of O-Level and tuition in Advanced Maths and Physics (in English).
- 1 year of A Level and IB tuition in H2/Higher Level Maths
- 1 year of IB tuition in Higher Level Economics.
Currently I am managing 2 students, one Additional Math student from Anglo- Chinese School (Independent) and one Economics student from St. Andrew Junior College.
I am able to start tuition as soon as there are suitable assignment available, and am able to take care of the students through school exams until A-Level/IB exam at the end of this year.
Rapport Building
Through 3 years of teaching, I have developed patience and commitment to guide the students towards their academic objectives. Listening, understanding and sharing experience are my methods to get to know the students better and help them realize and gain focus on what is really important to them. A successful and motivated student under my guidance is my best way to develop positive relationships with parents.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a former O-Level and A Level student, I have developed the strong foundation necessary to guide the current Secondary and JC students through their sometimes challenging and rigorous curriculum. Moreover, I am currently majoring Economics in NUS, which I believe prepare me well for any update and change in the Curriculum of Economics and Mathematics in lower levels. Furthermore, I have made myself available to the students through various communication means such as messaging, facebook, whatsapp, etc., and can answer the students' questions and enquiries through such mediums as well.
As a Good Tutor
I believe that a good tutor, above all, is perseverance- a dedication to relentlessly guide the students towards their goals and patience to see them change slowly but surely by the day. No less importance is tolerance, which allows me to keep a cool head whenever unwanted behaviours from students occur and help them steer their emotions towards a stable path
