Keeping Up with Curriculum
I enroll for the Professional Development Courses which are often offered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, mostly in the technical aspects of learning - aural training, scale learning, and teaching of theory components.
I believe in a learning environment which provides a steady pace of coaching, consistency, updated,
modern and clear instructions.
I acquired the Diploma in Teaching (Piano) from the ABRSM in 2012, even though I have already been teaching the piano for more than 25 years, then.
As a Good Tutor
To a good tutor, one has to be very patient, as he/she is dealing with children with different temperament, also with different rate of learning absorption, some maybe hyper-active, or have different periods of concentration.
Having said that, the good tutor must excellent subject knowledge, to be able to dispense learning to help and motivate the learner in the most effective way, in a short period of time.
