Tuition/Teaching Experience
Currently working in Maths n Science Hub as a full time tutor. Experienced in teaching 1 to 1 tuition from P3 to Secondary 4. Taught in schools such as Raffles Girls Primary, Qifa Primary and Nanhua Primary School for Maths Olympiad, with classes averaging from 10 to 25 students.
I am able to communicate effectively to a group of students and individually. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in their studies with the right materials and assistance from teachers and tutors.
Being passionate and motivated to teach, I am confident that students will enjoy their learning process and will not feel stressed or bored in lessons. I believe in giving students ample time to grasp the understanding of concepts and apply what they have learned into practice.

Rapport Building
As a teacher in both schools and tuition centre, I provide feedback to parents on their child's progress and improvement. Besides that, I am able to identify strengths and weaknesses of students so that parents themselves are able to provide assistance on days where there are no tuition lessons.
Currently I am giving Maths and Science tuition to a Secondary 2 student. We keep in contact through whatsapp and SMSes. This serves as a platform to inquire for help should he face any difficulties in homework on days when I am not around. The reason for such a platform is that I believe teaching and learning should not be limited only to a stated time frame, or in particular, the tuition lesson itself. The platform is solely used as a floor for academic-related discussions.
I also believe in rewarding students who perform exceptionally well in lessons. This will serve as a constant motivation for them to be consistent in their work.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I purchase assessment books and practice papers with the latest curriculum and up-to-date syllabuses. In addition, I am well-informed of any changes in syllabuses.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor is one who has the patience to impart his knowledge to the student. A good tutor is able to identify the student's capabilities, provide an accurate assessment and therefore come up with a framework to maximize the student's potential. Communication is also vital between student-tutor and parent-tutor in order to achieve results. A good tutor is able to motivate students and make lessons interesting. Real-life experiments and examples are a good way to engage the students.
