I currently tutor a secondary 4 student in A. Maths. I have had 2 tutees, both for secondary school maths prior to this.
During my time at National Junior college, I was involved in a voluntary scheme to teach primary school children who were weak in Mathematics. The student I was attached to required tremendous patience and commitment. It was an experience for me and gave me an insight when it comes to tutoring students who are fundamentally weak in Mathematics.
I am available every,
Saturday: 12p.m. - 2p.m. , 6p.m. - 8p.m.
Sunday: 12p.m. - 8p.m.
I will be able to commit for at least 1 year.
My rates are $55/hour
Rapport Building
Should your child/you have any intentions of studying in London or the UK in the future, I will be able to offer advice during our tuition sessions. This could range from general life in London, academic differences between the UK and Singapore and careers in the UK.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have friends in the tuition industry who are currently teaching mathematics. I go to them for advice whenever I need to update myself on the curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
A Tutor first and foremost needs know the strengths and weaknesses of students.
My essential role is to fortify the student's strengths and eliminate his weaknesses.
It is also important to understand the student's train of thought and encourage him when necessary.
