Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have taught a primary 4 and 5 student Malay and Mathematics. Both of them did not perform as well for both subjects. After months of practice and printing out practice worsheets for them to do, they both manage to improve by up to 2 grades. Not only that, for Maly language, they have improved not just in wreitten work bu tin the way they speak as well.
I am able to tutor students anytime as i have finished my A levels. Weekdays night/ evening and in the weeknds would be perfect as i have work at Eden work as a teacher aide in the afternoon until .30 pm. Will be able to commit as long as the parents want me to, as i would like to get some income to fund my university education.
Rapport Building
I normally build rapport by being open and friendly. But most importantly, there must be humour and respect towaards each other. With all these, it is easy to build rapport and get along well with the parent as well as the students i believe.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep myself updated with the curriculum by finding out from the students themselves what they have been learning in school. Besides that, i would look up at their home works and their textbooks as reference so that i can better understand the curriculum.

I always believe in this quote. I think passion in helping others, tutoring and the sincerity in their hearts to see their students do well would be the good qualities of a great tutor. Patience is key too and without the drive to want to see the students succeed, there will not be any improvement on both the tutor as well as the students.
