Tuition/Teaching Experience
During my secondary school days, I took on a challenge to tutor my younger brother, who was then primary 6, and managed to push him from a worrying preliminary score of 188 to a PSLE score of 220. I have also experienced helping fellow classmates in examination preparations. These informal tutoring experience helped me realise my ability to understand weak students and to find effective ways to teach a subject to someone. Being a student myself, I can understand what a student needs to excel in a subject - which is to truly understanding concepts, learning how to apply and having practice. Hence, I am keen on helping others realise how to learn, love and excel in their school work.
Currently tutoring 1 student for lower secondary Mathematics. Tutee is improving steadily :)
Upper secondary level - A Maths Biology E Maths Geography Social Studies

Available to commit to a student starting from December to August (when University starts).
Rapport Building
I would like to maintain a friendly and healthy relationship with my tutee to create a conducive studying environment. To do so, I would keep fixed and progressive schedules for my students and will be open to ideas and opinions from tutee or parent anytime.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Through references to assessment books in the market and help from siblings or connections with teachers from my alma mater.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor should be able to set targets for students and must have a good sense of punctuality - in arriving for lessons or in achieving targets. A good tutor must also help the student learn to love the subject and learn how to approach other subjects in the future too!
