I have about 7 years of teaching experience in tuition. I mainly teach primary and secondary school students. Subjects include Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Mathematics and Chinese. I believe in grasping the main concept in learning and summarizing the main points. I focus on understanding rather than pure memorizing. I will be able to capture the style of learning of different students and customize different methods of teaching for them. I would say I am a very patient and dedicated tutor who is determined to help my students achieve better results. I have taught several students ranging from local to international school kids, and they have all shown significant improvement in their results (eg from a fail to A).

I am able to start ASAP! Currently, my available timings are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays from 530pm onwards. Sundays whole day. I will be able to commit to a tuition assignment for the whole of next year.
Rapport Building
I believe the most important aspect when building rapport is communications. Normally, I will talk to the students and parents with an open mind and treat them truthfully. I believe that when I open my heart to someone, they will reciprocate. In terms of tuition, I will try my best to understand the concerns of the student and customize a set of teaching techniques that suits him/her best.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will visit Popular regularly to research on the latest syllabus and aseesment books available. Besides that, examination papers from different schools can also be found online. I will also read the news everyday to keep myself updated on any changes to the school policies and curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
The most important quality is patience. As a tutor, I have encountered students of all characters, from those that are very obedient to those who simply show no interest in studies. However, if I show genuine care and concern to the student, they will eventually show more interest in learning. Besides that, a tutor should be dedicated and responsible. I have the added advantage of being bilingual. I believe that a good tutor should be able to grasp the main concept in learning and summarize the main points.
