Students:
As a start, try not to talk too much about school work because they switch off immediately when you talk about it. Might want to start with their interest, hobbies etc. Slowly link to the nature of the subject by relating to real world context.
Celebrate their bdays, youth days by giving them a simple gift etc.
Parents:
Important to find out what are their expectations and strike a mutual understanding. Set standards and show the work done during the tuition class as well as monitor the student's progress and updating them the student's developments.
