I tutored a student in English Literature, and she improved in grades from a fail to an A. I am currently also giving tuition in English, Geography, Literature and History for secondary school. My specialisations are in English, Geography and the Humanities. I am currently a student in the National University of Singapore, majoring in Global Studies. Thus, I am well-equipped with the skills and knowledge from the various disciplines, ranging from History to Sociology. I am not only able to impart mere content, but I also seek to hone the minds of my students, to be critical thinkers for the 21st Century.

I believe in regular and open communication with the parents, realistically and honestly, keeping them up to date with regards to the development of their child. As for the student, being relatively young, it is easier to empathise with the challenges that they face, as well as the mindsets that they might have.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have a range of contacts, ranging from students themselves, to teachers, who are able to keep me informed of not just the syllabus itself, but also how the students feel about and react to it. This enables me to better understand the needs of the students, and to more appropriately adapt my teaching style.
As a Good Tutor
I believe that good teaching begins with understanding- of the education system, of the subject matter and of the needs of the students themselves. Such understanding makes for greater effectiveness in learning, where learning is both fun and productive.
