Commitment / Other Details
I am willing to start straight away, and I can commit to an assignment for about six months. I would prefer taking one-on-one lectures, because I believe that students require a lot of attention. However, I can also teach groups, provided the timings are not too short.
Since I am a Masters student, my time table is quite flexible, but I do not appreciate classes being cancelled.
Rapport Building
I normally sit down with a student's parents before I start teaching their ward, and try to understand their needs and expectations. It is important for parents to understand their children, and I try to be the link between the two.
Over the course of the assignment, students develop a very strong rapport with me; outside the class I am their friend but inside the class their is mutual respect.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I try and keep myself updated with the various syllabi of schools and colleges by going through them every few months. Also, I keep myself updated with new approaches to solving old problems.
