I have been teaching for 15 years in MOE schools. This includes 2 years in a Primary School as a general teacher and a total of 13 years as an EL teacher at 2 Secondary Schools.
Language learning is not only about development of different areas of language but more importantly, students have to process information logically. I have the privilege of weaving thinking models into language curriculum in my current school, benefitting many students who did not previously think about their thought processes. Being conscious of how they process information aids them in writing as well as comprehension of passages.
