Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have done my teaching practices (practicum) for 5 weeks and 10 weeks now in a primary school. I have taught lower primary english, maths and music as well as p4 math. I find teaching a joy as I see students faces lit up when they discover new findings.
I will be able to start in Aug 2013 and will be able to commit for 2-3 years. As I am offered the Bachelor in Arts (BaEd), I will be specialising in English Language. I will be graduating in 2 years' time.
I have just graduated from NIE with a Diploma in Education (General) with credit teaching at primary level. I should have started teaching in a school already but was offered the degree programme in NIE.
Rapport Building
By having constant communication with not only the students but also the parents. It is important for parents to know how their child is doing so that they can also help in one way or another.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As an NIE trainee, we are constantly asked to be updated with the curriculum as we are taught the pedagogies as how to teach in school with the updated curriculum.
