Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have taught Secondary 2 and 3 NA Mathematics and Secondary 3 Additional Mathematics.

I have also taught Secondary 1 English.

Generally, I have an interest in teaching others and would do my best for my students.

However, I also believe that the students too have an important role to play and they need to want to learn and improve in order to obtain the good grades.

I am patient with slower students as I can understand the confusion they have in subjects that they are not good at.

I value the hard work of my students and expect them to prepare for lessons in order to improve.

I believe when there is mutual understanding
and cooperation between the students and tutor, that's when the student can excel and reach his potential.

Commitment / Other Details
I am studying in NTU and therefore will be able to give tuitions on weekdays evenings in the West.

For tuitions on Friday, Saturday or Sundays, it would be preferred to have it in areas near my house.

I am able to take on a tuition assignment for quite long, unless there is some unforeseen circumstances.
Rapport Building
I would normally get to know my student better first, and ask them for their actual score for that subject I'm teaching and ask them to set a target for themselves, which is usually one or two grades higher than their actual score. Then, we will try to work towards the target together.
I believe there needs to be mutual understanding between the tutor and the student.
Once we both are working towards a common goal, we will understand each other better and more can be achieved this way.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I buy current assessment books for my students with detailed explanations. I basically teach Mathematics, so even though the curriculum might change a bit, Mathematics is roughly the same, with the same formulas, concepts and ways of approach.
If I'm unfamiliar with anything, I will go check it out anyways!
As a Good Tutor
Patience, mutual understanding with the student, kindness but with strictness and good explanation and teaching skills!
