I have just started out in being a tutor after graduating from JC.
However, there are many advantages to being a young tutor who has just graduated from JC. For one, I am still in touch with how the format is like in schools. This would include the content and the method of answering questions as taught in school. This will allow me to better prepare the student for his/her examinations.
Also, I believe that learning should go beyond understanding how to score at examinations. That would only stifle the student's interest in the subject. I believe that learning should involve not only the steps to arrive at the answer, but also understanding why these steps have to be taken and how the topic is relevant to real-life situations.
