I've tutored numerous students who are retaking their O-levels and also tutored Primary 4-6 school kids. These students have improved greatly, did well in the national exams and gone on to pursue pre-university studies. My teaching and learning techniques rather focuses more on note taking and skills based learning with ample practices done on the tutee's part. I'm believe that I can push my tutee's grades up with the right method and effort.
