I had 4 years of teaching experience,taught Chinese Language in a local secondary school.Worked with students of the various streams and was assigned graduating classes every year.
As a Singaporean who underwent the bilingual system myself,I fully understand the difficulties in grappling with 2 languages.My versatility in teaching was well received esp. by the English-speaking students and parents.
I was then promoted as Subject Head.Often represented the school to collaborate with MOE HQ in projects e.g. Review of the Secondary Chinese curriculum,Use IT to teach reading and writing.
I stop teaching in April 2012 to pursue Masters in Chinese Language.
