    Rapport Building
I usually try to know my students well by being approachable, and learn about their aspirations as well as personal experiences in life to build a good working relationship with them. I will consistently track progress and keep parents updated.
    Keeping Up with Curriculum
I download a copy of the official curriculum every year to check for any changes and make use of various resources to ensure that the content material i am teaching is relevant.
    As a Good Tutor
I discovered my passion for teaching years ago while tutoring my friends in school. Through my teaching experience then, I realised why many of them were struggling: most of them had little understanding of what they were doing. They tried their best to memorise formulas and when to use them, without really understanding the fundamental concepts behind them. This is the result of the current education system in Singapore which is overly focused on grades, and so teachers teach in order to achieve the best grades in the shortest time possible. This results in plenty of rote-learning which is not only painful, but takes the fun out of learning.

I always teach my students to learn things properly from the ground up, in order to get a thorough understanding of the concepts and learning where formulas come from. With that strong understanding, my students are well prepared to answer any type of question that may appear in examinations since they have a thorough understanding. Also, learning and studying no longer becomes such a chore, and even becomes fulfilling once students themselves realise that true progress is made.

        As a Good Tutor
I am passionate and dedicated in coaching students in various subjects. It is always my interest in sharing tips with students how to excel in exams by not just studying hard but studying smart.

One of my ways of teaching is to provide self-prepared notes to students that I have consolidated based on my knowledge and experience as well as referring to other reference books and exam questions. I always believe that it is very crucial o expose students to variety way of understanding the content and prepare them with variable possible exam topics.

I am a fun teacher, other than coaching in an academic way, I will always like to add some funs into the teaching session to make it an interesting and less tedious one so that students will like it. I always believe that this is the most important element in life especially when it comes to study -- if you want to excel in one subject, you must first love it.

Education is not preparation for life, but it's life itself. While theory is important, I also help students connect it to the world. Being a full-time tutor for more than 4 years, I have accumulated a lot of experience tutoring students from different backgrounds, different schools, different learning capabilities, different characters, different strengths and weaknesses. I am capable of knowing how students think and learn. Every student is unique. By devising new strategy with students, it helps them to grow into a responsible and self-discipline person.
