As a Good Tutor
I am passionate and dedicated in coaching students in various subjects. It is always my interest in sharing tips with students how to excel in exams by not just studying hard but studying smart.

One of my ways of teaching is to provide self-prepared notes to students that I have consolidated based on my knowledge and experience as well as referring to other reference books and exam questions. I always believe that it is very crucial o expose students to variety way of understanding the content and prepare them with variable possible exam topics.

I am a fun teacher, other than coaching in an academic way, I will always like to add some funs into the teaching session to make it an interesting and less tedious one so that students will like it. I always believe that this is the most important element in life especially when it comes to study -- if you want to excel in one subject, you must first love it.

    Course Description:
Education is not preparation for life, but it's life itself. While theory is important, I also help students connect it to the world. Being a full-time tutor for more than 4 years, I have accumulated a lot of experience tutoring students from different backgrounds, different schools, different learning capabilities, different characters, different strengths and weaknesses. I am capable of knowing how students think and learn. Every student is unique. By devising new strategy with students, it helps them to grow into a responsible and self-discipline person. My classes are quite intensive, but students enjoy my classes as I will always add some funs into the teaching session so as to make it an interesting and less tedious one. I always believe that this is the most important element in life especially when it comes to study -- if you want to excel in one subject, you must first love it. As I am experienced in coaching all four PSLE subjects (EMSC), and even Sec1-2 Maths and Sec1-4 Chinese, students stay with me for many years and we build strong teacher-student relationship. Materials wise, I will prepare my own notes as the main teaching materials most of the time depending on the progress of our lessons. Other materials are supplementary books and test papers from different schools.
    Other Details:
Payment wise, it will be advance payment before the start of every four classes. There will be tuition homework assigned to students. However, the amount will depend on the students' workload and progress. I am open for discussion with the parents on the best way to guide their child/children.

          Rapport Building
I have recently completed by full-time national service and as such, is still able to remember and teach the current curriculum. I am able to connect personally to children of most ages, especially so with the older one (13-18 years). I am able to understand their difficulties and their lapses in knowledge, and patch up the gaps to build their confidence in the subject slowly. After they are confident in the concepts, they would be more willing to learn and improvements will definitely be made after time.
          Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am a part-time tutor and as such, am constantly exposed to a variety of subjects at many level (e.g. A Lvls, O lvls, PSLE). I am constantly updating myself with the most relevant materials to the ever-changing syllabus such that I am best able to provide assistance and knowledge to my students.
          As a Good Tutor
I believe patience and persistence is the key to every child's success. If I am able to breakthrough a child through increasing his confidence, I am confident in his/her future ability to be disciplined and the make improvements to his work. I am also extremely friendly, and many students will find it easy to talk to me, which I believe is important in a 1 on 1 setting as the child has to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from the tutor.
