Rapport Building: I love getting to know people, so I would speak to parents to understand mutual expectations during the first few sessions. I would also spend time getting to know the students (including their likes, their boundaries and how they like to learn) over the course of each session.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I access and update myself with the necessary curriculum beforehand. I also speak to the students to understand where their class is at (and also where they personally feel they are at) in terms of understanding the concepts.

As a Good Tutor: I would keep abreast of the curriculum and related information.
I would also remain sensitive to how each student learns best and to each individual's learning pace.
I would try to help the students enjoy learning, and set goals to incentivise them to push themselves.
