            The first step is to speak to the students and teachers to understand the current state of the students preparedness and ability in the subject. after ascertaining current ability, I can then craft lessons to work for the students. During lessons I inject personal experiences and learn more about the students in order to better tailor lessons to their needs, while still maintaining the standard of tutoring.

            I frequently read syllabus documents and do papers to familiarise myself with how the subjects are graded and marked as per MOE and SEAB. I read widely to ensure that content is relevant, especially when giving examples for essays and other content areas.

              I believe that students require a lot of motivation to learn. It is important that the tutor is patient in understanding the varying needs of each child and carry out their lessons accordingly. I personally have been a student myself and I understand the struggles, frustrations and pressure a student can feel from the people around them. I am able to help them view things from a bigger picture and motivate them to push harder to achieve their goals. I also personally believe that learning Japanese from a native speaker is important as I would be able to teach you from the basics of the language.
