Rapport Building: I usually have a chat with the parents on their expectations of the student after employing my services. Along the way, I also communicate with the parents directly to let them know what areas the students need more help in or are improving in etc. This allows parents to monitor their child's progress as well and can approach me for additional help if needed. As for the student, I usually treat them as equals, and communicate in a friendly and patient way to allow them to ease up and be more bold in expressing their ideas during lessons. From my experience, many students are too shy to speak up in lessons and do not clarify their doubts leading up to a test or exam, and y way of communication will avoid this negative behavior and improve performance of the students drastically.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have friends and family that are employed in the education system, and chatting with them keeps me relatively updated about any changes in curriculum or syllabuses. Also, I will take the extra effort to research on myself if requested by parents for various subjects and their curriculum.

As a Good Tutor: Patience, dedication and good communication skills are some of the key qualities that I possess and what I believe to be key qualities for any good tutors out there.
