Have seen grade improvement of C to A in J2 H2 Math after only a few sessions. I am patient and dedicated, where I will ensure that the child fully understands the concept by the end of the lesson.

I prefer to build a rapport with the tutee such that they are more comfortable during lessons, and I believe that using more engaging resources to guide the child makes them grasp concepts easier. I see myself more than a tutor, but as a mentor to the student, and I care about the emotional well-being of my students as well.

    I think the basic qualities of a good tutor are as simple as patience and empathy. Each child learns differently, so careful attention is needed to adapt manners of teaching to the child. Complicated concepts are understood not because of a child's intelligence, rather the way that the subject/topic is communicated.

      Patience is a very important virtue of a good tutor, besides the ability to articulate concepts well. The tutor should try to understand the reason for the student's non performance or under performance, be it difficulty in understanding the teachers' explanation or purely a lack of self-revision and practice which is of critical importance for subjects such as Math.
