Rapport Building: I am a CCA leader and an assistant coach, I have encountered many situations where I have to speak to different individuals be it to comfort them, or to provide instructions. All of which I have done exceedingly well, for me to be able to attain a merit award for my CCA and a 3 years Scholar student.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have a brother currently in sec 3 as well as a cousin who is in primary 1. I have been taking a look at their notes as well as their learning materials. In fact, I have even taught and revised with them, a few weeks before the exams. Therefore I feel I am not totally unsure of the current curriculum.

As a Good Tutor: I feel as a good tutor, it is not just about teaching my students how to do it. But instead how to appreciate it. I want to inspire my students to be able to understand and love the subject. I want them to treat the subject like "common sense".

As a Good Tutor: A good tutor is like a good engineer solving an optimisation problem. Every student has his/her inherent limitations. And the educator's role is to try to maximise the level of success from the student. It can be a simple issue of listening well and deeply to internalise the constraints. Can be reading between the lines to identify non-verbal cues that need addressing. On to building the curriculum that will suit the ideal pace of each student, and repeated follow up to ensure adherence to both the learning journey and the content.
