I have moved from main stream primary school to teach full time in preschool as a full time teacher after obtaining Diploma in early childhood for kindergartern teaching from Singapore Polytechnic. I believe in interest-based learning to motivate children to utilise their strengths to understand the academic contents in byte sizes before they are scaffolded to correlate the knowledge independently. I allow children to construct and extend their imaginations based on current knowledge (under constant guidance of teacher to ensure they move in the correct directions) to build up their confidences and interests in academic subjects.

      My teaching philosophy is that all things can be learned from an understanding of basic concepts. Too many students today simply memorise complex formulas and concepts without understanding how they are derived.
