For students with not as strong foundation, I will begin with concepts followed by problem solving. For students with a strong foundation, I prefer to approach problem solving with levels of difficulty, guiding them along the way. I teach my students the fundamentals of the topic before letting them do questions of a topic independently, but of course, guiding them along the way by posing questions so they can grasp the concepts. When my student gets a question wrong, I will not be quick to illustrate the correct answer. I will, however, encourage my student to analyze their workings and show me what went wrong. I also give my students my own questions from my set of assessment materials to enhance their learning.
