Tuition/Teaching Experience: I have been giving private tuition since late 2005, when I was still in university. I also have a year of experience teaching at SAJC in 2010 as a contract teacher. I enjoy coaching students who are struggling in their studies. Most of the time, my students started off with little understanding of what is required of them to get better results. They think that those who get straight As are smarter and/or more hard working than themselves. This is only half the story. Besides working hard, most of them do not know that they also need to take note of things such as time management during examinations, preparation of a proper study time table before they embark on their revision etc. These are the things that will make a big difference to the kind of grades that they are consistently getting.

Apart from that, I am a consistent and reliable tutor as I have spend 6 years with the same student who is now in Secondary One and is in one of the country's top girls secondary school. As a tutor I do not believe in rote learning, preferring to cultivate the student's love for a subject through guidance.
