I take pride in building strong rapport with both students and parents, creating learning environments that are supportive to encourage students and keep them motivated. I regularly check in with their personal goals and ambitions, as well as make it a point to communicate clearly with parents about their progress, fostering trust and collaboration in the learning journey.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As an active musician, I stay current by performing regularly and refining my craft, to ensure that I grow and improve in my own art. By doing so, this allows me to share learning materials I use for myself, showcasing how I utilize materials and sharing efficient ways that has worked for me. I also regularly reflect on my teaching practice, incorporating feedback and adjust lesson pacing based on my students. This allows me to maintain a strong balance between creativity, technique and long-term development.
As a Good Tutor
To me, teaching and sharing lessons on music offers powerful life lessons. My goal is to help students grow not just as musicians but hopefully as individuals, using drumming as a path to personal development and joy. These were some of the important lessons I picked up as I was learning music, and I continue my journey I hope to share this joy with those open to learning.
