Originating since 1968, the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme currently runs active across the different continents in the world and is taught in more than hundreds of schools. Children aged from three to nineteen are offered this alternative and is especially prominent in international schools here in Singapore. Schools such as Anglo Chinese School (Independent) offer students the opportunity to take on the IB programme, and it differs slightly from the normal route offered by Singapore’s Ministry of Education.
Here in Singapore, the IB programme first commences in the Primary Years Programme (PYP) followed by the Middle Years Programme (MYP) before ending at the Diploma Programme (DP).
