Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have 36 years of teaching experience in 4 different Primary schools in English, Maths and Science. The fact that I have 36 years in the teaching profession testifies to my dedication to nurturing the minds of my pupils and also in moulding their character so that they can grow to be useful and upright citizens and in any profession they wish to enter be it in medicine, law, engineering, science, banking and even in the noblest of all professions, and that is, teaching. I believe that parents can only give their children the gift of life but we teachers can give their children their future. That is why parents send their children to the schools and leave them in the hands of the teachers and also why the government is spending millions of dollars in the building of schools, JCs, etc.

Commitment / Other Details
For my long service to the teaching profession, I was awarded the National Day Medal in 1997.

I am available to teach from Mondays to Fridays, 9 am to 11 am in the mornings and from 2 pm to 10 pm in the afternoons.

My fees are very moderate at only $20 per hour as I believe that money is not as important as to the development of a child's mental development.
Rapport Building
To me every child regardless of his race, religion and social status, is important as Singapore has no natural resources save one and that is, human resource. In each and every child there is a very precious resource which we all know as the human brain with which mankind was able to invent the car, aeroplane, telephone, computers, electric bulb and also discovered penicillin which could cure many diseases. Scientists have tried to duplicate the human brain but without success. Dr fra nkenstein tried to and he created a monster. As a teacher, we should treat every child as our own who we shower with love and concern as though he or she were our own. I have 3 lovely children of my own and they are all grown up with children of their own and I am proud to say that I am blessed with 6 GRANDSONS.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I started teaching in 1963 at a young age of 19 and I left in 1998 due to personal problems. However, in 2006, I returned to teaching but this time as an Adjunct Teacher with a contract of 1 year. I was given the task of educating a class of P5 children of different races and family background and both sexes age about 11 years old. I had to attend a few courses especially in Mathematics to keep up with the latest syllabuses as well as in Science as the syllabus had included a few new topics. So I am sure that I will be able to teach with confidence without the parents anxiety as to whether I would be able to teach like a pro. In fact I will be in a better position to teach as I have a vast and wide knowledge than those teachers in the schools as they do not have much experience as I have and I also surf the internet for more information pertaining to the teaching of science and maths. So with these, I leave you with one thought. MORE RICHES HAVE BEEN MINED FROM THE MINDS OF MEN THAN HAVE EVER BEEN MINED FROM THE MINES OF THE EARTH.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor is not one that sits on his laurels and expects the world to come to him. He should go forward to seek for new adventures and new worlds to explore. Only then can he be truly educated and have the qualification to educate others. There is a saying, "When the student is ready, the master will appear." So my question is this, "Is the student ready to be educated?" Then if he is ready, I will be ready to teach him even the secrets of the universe which I have found in the world's greatest library, the source of knowledge, the INTERNET. For I truly believe, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER . Without knowledge, one is powerless. Therefore, to be a good tutor, one must improve and seek four more knowledge and never think that one has known enough. The knowledge that one knows is just like a drop of water in an ocean. LONG LIVE KNOWLEDGE! DOWN WITH IGNORANCE! AMEN.
