I am currently tutoring a P6 kid, teaching him math and science twice a week. His result has significantly improve throughout the 8 months. I am patient, creative and good at drawing. I draw pictures and diagrams for my tutee to understand the question better and making lesson interesting.
I am able to start tutoring immediately and commit for a year.
Rapport Building
Before the start of lesson, I will interact with my student awhile and monitor his academic studies in school. If he has any difficulties in his homework, I will guide him along step by step. He can give me a call anytime if he has any doubt or uncertainties in his homework. For 2h lesson, i will allocate 1h each for math and science so that he will not feel bored learning the same subject for 2h. I will start off with some simple question first before proceeding to teach him the harder question. At the end of the tuition, I will update his parent his study progress and assign him some question to practice on.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will scan through the textbook and assessment book that he bought from his school. From there, I will buy the assessment book from popular that cover all the topic he required to learn. I will cross check with other assessment book and choose the one that best fit him. Nearing the PSLE examination, I will buy examination paper for him to practice on.
