Commitment / Other Details
Am able to start now and can commit to the foreseeable future (up to two years ahead)
Rapport Building
I listen. To parents' assessments of their children and the student's own views about themselves and engage them to find out what they hope to get from the lessons.

I check in with both parties about the conduct of the lessons and potential improvements. And adjust my teaching style to ensure maximum effectiveness of my time.

I am comfortable engaging with people from different backgrounds due to my experiences.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have a younger sister who's in Secondary 4 now, and from there I have notes and a general idea of the topics covered and likely questions. I also keep myself up to date with the curriculum through focusing on SEAB's syllabus objectives and TYS's questions.
As a Good Tutor
Flexibility) To adapt teaching styles in order to ensure that the students gets the most out of each lessons. Could be simply focusing on the basics of certain chapters or bringing in more visible examples if said student is unable to grasp abstract.concepts.

Drive) We must have the drive to constantly work and prep for lessons in order to best serve our students. It can be easy for tutors to take a back seat and just answer whatever questions the tutees have, but there is so much more that we can do (preparing customized mini tests, reading up on tricky/challenging questions etc) that will enable us to do the best for the students.
