I believe a sense of humour and honesty is key to communication. As the tutee's learning and understanding is crucial, no information should be held back or else the tutee's growth is at stake.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I would get similar textbooks to keep up with any changes that cambridge might see fit. Assessment books are also a good way to know what students are being taught.
As a Good Tutor
I think patience and a good temper is key to teaching. Problems will definitely arise and i believe one can truly absorb what he's learning by being in a conducive environment. With proper guidance, direction and effort, the tutees can expect to surpass their perceived ability of themselves.
