As a tutor, I believe in helping my tutee understanding the fundamental principles of things learnt before moving on to help them apply these fundamentals onto problems. Only then, will they be capable of solving all problems taught in the curriculum. I have been tutoring since my undergraduate days, accumulating a total of approximately 4 years of experience.
