Rapport Building
I like to take abit of time off personally to ask how the tutee had been coping with his school work and curriculum. Any problems surfaced to me by tutee would be talked about in the presence of his parents so that i can act as a platform for tutee to bring issues up. I would also try to gain the tutee's trust by asking if he has any personal problems that might affect his studying. All in all my interaction with the student will still be strictly confidential and i will continue to perform my responsibilities as a professional tutor. If the tutee permits, i will talk to the parents and the tutee to resolve certain issues together.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will regularly look at assessment books available in the market to ensure i have update information on what schools are teaching. This is to ensure i am not lacking behind in any information on the syllabus and allow myself to transfer the knowledge as best as i can to the tutee
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor should be understanding and patient. This is important when it comed to establishing a relationship with the tutee and the tutee can better understand during lessons. One should also be accomodating as certain tutee have difficulties in certain areas which would require the tutor to be more flexible and accomodate to the tutee
