My students are usually recurring and I teach them for more than 2 years. I major in Mechanical engineering and am extremely strong in Math and Science (physics and chemistry). All of my students improved from B/C to A during the final exams. I love personalizing each lesson to suit the needs/wants of the student. Consistency is key. Hence, I always encourage my students to ask me questions even outside tuition hours. This is also so that I can keep track of their progress. In addition, I am very good at spotting questions that might come out in the finals exams. I believe in tackling questions using the most efficient way and I will teach my students how to do so, given the time constraint of an examination setting.

Rapport Building
Learning need not be tedious and monotonous, if required, i will make use of videos to explain concepts better, especially for subjects such as physics and chemistry that are beneficial to have some form of visualisation. As long as there is teamwork between the student and tutor, the student will definitely see improvements in his/her results.
Informing the parents of their children's progress is extremely important as well. In order for the tutoring sessions to be fully successful, the tutor, tutee as well as parents must work together to achieve a unanimous goal, which is fulfilling the desired results during the final examinations. I will inform the parents what i have gone through during the session and set goals with them and the student (s). I also encourage parents to sit in during the first lesson so that they can understand/critic my teaching style.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have very good guidebooks on hand and I do not save on getting updated ones. In addition, consistently tutoring is the best way to keep up with the curriculum. Flipping through PYPs during my free time helps too.
