Rapport Building
With parents, I involve them heavily throughout the lessons, i.e keeping them updated about the progress, where the student can improve and accomplishments so far. My aim is to make the student confident when they enter their examination hall and to do so they must be very clear with the concepts which I believe that my lessons will aid them in doing so. I have engaging teaching style in order to build a rapport with the student so that they are assured that they are in a safe learning environment where mistakes are part of the learning process. I would like the student to acknowledge the areas of improvement so that a drive to work on it is established. This will be tested by regular tests and revision to gain maximum retention.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
IB and IGCSE - I graduated from these courses so I have extensive knowledge about them
Singaporean curriculum - reading of syllabus, textbooks, past papers to ensure all the upto date syllabus is delievered
As a Good Tutor
I am extremely patient and do not mind repeating the concept for the understanding of the student. As someone who believes communication and engagement is key, I will be constantly interacting with the student to ensure that they are in the right direction.
