I do not have experience in tutoring and but I sincerely hope to gain a tutoring experience from AceTutors. I have a passion for humanities subjects such as Geography and also the Chinese language, and I hope to help students who require a little more assistance in their school work and also to help them gain interest in the subjects that they might have not been keen on studying because they did not excel well in it before.
Primary level - Chinese English Higher Chinese Science

Commitment / Other Details
I am currently working as a temporary admin staff on weekdays from 9-5, and I would very much like to dedicate any other timing every week to help with tutoring.
While I do not have a tutoring experience, I did assist in my primary school as a volunteer to teach English and Chinese to lower primary students who require some extra help in their school work.

Keeping Up with Curriculum
My admin job is actually in a secondary school, so I can be easily updated with the current curriculum via day to day conversations with teachers and also observation of students and their lessons. Furthermore, I have close friends who have younger siblings still studying in primary school, so i would be able to find out more about the curriculum from them and then work on what I can help students with.
As a Good Tutor
I think the most important quality of a good tutor is a passion for teaching and patience. I believe that if I myself is very interested in what I am teaching, the student would be able to feel it too and enjoy the lesson as well as the subject even more, and thus their gained interest for studying would also reflect as improvement on their grades.
