At first I normally used to give some small tests in order to know their understanding of the subject and their needs. Before that I'll request the parents to let me know how I can make most out because they only know much about them and their needs.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Even though I have some Idea regarding their syllabus and blueprint of their subjects, I keep myself updated by talking with my fellow tutors and students.
As a Good Tutor
Bringing the interest towards the subject for students is an important deal. Its hard to sort out but once it's done then it will be easy for the student as well as the tutor.
