1. Patient and able to simplify concepts for students - this is from my years of experience coaching students from all levels and also through leadership positions as sports captain and SAF Officer
2. Understanding - Having been through the education system just recently, I am able to share the woes of students not just academically but also having to cope with CCAs and family time. I am able to provide learning strategies that are crucial for effective learning.
3. Provide help in holistic education - As a Medical student, I understand the importance of holistic education and will be able to provide advice to students, especially those interested in career in the healthcare sector.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I teach according to the MOE syllabus which is the most important worksheet to go through. To be able to answer questions in examinations, we must first know how the examination questions are crafted.
As a Good Tutor
My teaching strategies allow students to gain a new framework of learning that seeks to understand concepts, which benefits them far into their adult lives.
I believe that learning is most effective when students understand the concepts instead of simply working through mechanisms and rote learning. Understanding concepts spurs motivation and allows students to retain the knowledge better and be able to apply them flexibly in examinations.
