Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have been a tutor since 2004 upon completing my A-Levels. I have been teaching both primary an secondary students. For primary student I am proficient in teaching English, Mathematics and also Chinese. For secondary school students, I have taught lower secondary Mathematics and Upper secondary Principle of Accounting. I was also offered a teaching position in Primary Schools by MOE in 2010 when I was considering a career switch.
In 2007 to 2009, I taught in a tuition centre (Extraedge) in Serangoon Garden before relocating to Germany due to my husband's overseas posting.
I can start tutoring in July and can commit as long as it is required by the students. I am available on Mon- Fri morning.
Rapport Building
For younger students, I'll conduct lesson in fun and joyful way. For more mature students, I share with them my personal experiences and listen to them to build the trust in them.
For parents I have learnt to listen and understand their concerns especially lower primary students.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Mathematics questions for each level have evolved over the years and I constantly update myself through working on assessment book questions and schools past years papers.
As a Good Tutor
I am passionate about teaching. Through my years of teaching experiences, I have learnt that every students have different learning abilities and my teaching methods need to be adapted to that.
