Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have had taught 3 primary 6 students through PSLE from Heartware Tuition Program. Although they had family issues, they tried their best to do what they were assigned to do on time. I made notes so that they could self study and keep on track with their studies even though they might not have been able to attend classes. In order to fully comprehend their situation and find out how to help my students even more, I conversed regularly with their teachers and the vice principal.

Commitment / Other Details
I am able start immediately and commit to a tuition assignment until the exam's commencement. Since I may be working or starting school soon, I am free on weekdays evenings from 6 to 9pm and my weekends are usually free.
I am very committed to my students and would do everything to make sure the student gets what he/she had worked hard for. Willing to go the extra mile, I do not mind giving more classes so that the student gains confidence in his/her work.
I do not mind either going to the student's house or opening up my house for tuition. Group tuitions are up to the students as well, although I would recommend private tuition for some students, depending on the subject and the characters of the student.
Rapport Building
I do what I can to find out more about the student, their habits and preferences, in order to adapt my teaching style. In order to fully comprehend the student's situation, I would prefer to hold talks with their parents after the session, so that I can update them with their child's progress and they can update me on their child's feedback and school work.
I do not mind communicating via phone texts or emails, which would help keep both parties updated and build up rapport with my students and their parents.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
In order to keep up with changing curriculum, I keep in contact with my previous teachers in order to find out what has been changed. Furthermore, my close connections with juniors from my school would help me gain up to date notes and tips so that my own students would benefit as well.
As a Good Tutor
Being passionate about teaching and the passing on of knowledge, I believe that good grades are not enough. A tutor should be able to inspire learning, and the love of the subject in the student, and encourage the heart.
I always take the student's wellbeing seriously, and I hope to change lives the same way that my teachers have done for me.
