Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have been teaching tuition since 4 years ago. I have taught P6 EMS and P4 Math & Science. My most recent assignment was a 3-year one with an autistic child since he was in Secondary 1. His ranking in school improved from 2nd from the bottom to top 30 amongst 70 students. I am one who is firm, strict and willing to teach the child to do his homework. Ultimately, I hope the tuition sessions can help the child cope better and also, I tend to build strong rapport with my child to gain respect and have a working relationship. Until now, I keep in contact with my previous child to see if he is doing well in his studies.
Able to start immediately. I tend to stick to one assignment for a long time (at least a year) to build a strong relationship and alliance with the child, unless unforeseen circumstances arise.
Rapport Building
I tend to send SMSes and Whatapp messages to the child or parent to remind them of work to be done and also to inform them if I ever do run late. Also, during the tuition session, I tend to allow time after the session to chat with the child about how he copes in school.
