Commitment / Other Details
I can start within one week of notice.I can commit for the whole year, but I may have to change the tuition schedule when I start school in August.
Rapport Building
I will usually encourage my students to whatsapp me if they face any academic difficulty in whatever subjects they are studying
, and I will try my best to help them if possible. I will also give some advice to my students and their parents regarding
which subjects should they take, or which school should they go, based on my experience. I think the latter situation I mentioned
is very common among secondary school students when they do not know which tertiary education path to choose, and parents
sometimes tend to encourage their children to take the JC path which might not always be the bettter one for their children.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep myself updated with the curriculum through the internet, whereby I look for the latest school examination papers, and cross-refer among different schools to observe what are the topics tested.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor should be able to customise his lessons to suit the needs of the students. In addition, a good tutor should make sure his students really understand the concepts instead of letting his students practise mindlessly to the point that they memorise and regurgitate instead of applying the knowledge they have learnt when answering questions. A good tutor should also have some tips and tricks to share with his students to help them in examinations.
