I am currently working full time at a Student Care and Tuition Centre. The subjects I teach include P3 English & Maths as well as P5 & P6 Science. I have also been tutoring for the past two years and all my students have shown significant improvement in their studies. I have a strong passion for working with children and it is very fulfilling to see them develop to their fullest potential with constant guidance. My company sends me for training to upgrade my teaching skills and I constantly seek to improve my teaching methods. I introduce rapping and funny ways of memorising such that it will be easier for students to memorise their concepts. I believe children should enjoy learning and thus I make it funny for them as much as possible.
The tuition materials that are provided by my company is in accordance with MOE's syllabus and therefore I am very much in touch with the syllabus. However, I also turn to the internet to bring even more fun details into the classroom especially for science in order to bring in knowledge that is outside of the textbook. I also actively allow children to recap what they have learnt by constantly asking questions to increase their ability to retain what they have learnt.
As a Good Tutor
I am strongly dedicated and passionate in helping children bring out the best in themselves. I do this by helping them gain their self confidence after going through several questions that they have difficulty answering. With constant support, the child would definiitely grow intellectually.
