Rapport Building
I believe that it is important that parents trust their child's education on me for a more effective outcome. This is because I truly believe that the rapport between the student and teacher takes precedence over the rapport between the teacher and the parents. However, this is not to say that I will not get the parents involved. I will ensure that the parents know what their child is up to and how he or she is doing on a monthly review basis.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Looking up for books and reading up on the current textbooks are what I do often, to keep myself updates with the latest curriculum set by the MOE.
As a Good Tutor
I think it is important to be approachable and opened to discussions and varying opinions. However, I will always ensure that the students heeds my advice, simply because I was there once, and I know what it takes to be successful, academically.
