I was the president of students' council in my junior college and it has given me experience of motivating peers and boosting morale. Together with ample experience in peer tutoring, I will be able to keep students highly motivated and ensure consistent progress.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I believe in holistic learning. While it is very important to be hardworking, many students forget the importance of studying smart and comprehending crucial exam techniques. With my own personal experience as a student, I will be able to educate certain details many students may ignore.
I am also a strong believer in the usage of the syllabus as a guide to teaching and learning. It will ensure the students are always able to relate back to what is being tested in the Cambridge exams and not be too caught up about irrelevant questions. At the end of the day, what really matters is the result for 'O' level examinations and not internally set school papers. While the latter is STILL important the former is undeniably the most important. I firmly believe in working towards the former.
As a Good Tutor
I am patient and articulate. With my experiences as a student and as a leader, coupled with my understanding of the content which stretches beyond what is required in the syllabus, I will be able to teach holistically and open his/her perspectives of the world and the relevance of what is being learnt.
