Commitment / Other Details
Able to start working at short notice, perhaps within 2 weeks of being contacted. Most likely to be able to commit for at least a year once a contract is accepted.

Single tuition sessions would be preferable.
Rapport Building
I feel the most important thing when working with students is to have trust and respect. People learn better from a friend than they do from a superior. Through fostering a comfortable student teacher relationship, a better understanding of the student's academic problems is achieved, allowing for a more specific approach to tackling individual problems.

Parents are ultimately most concerned for the future of the students and grades often are often used as estimates as to how well the students do in school. It would therefore be ideal to explain the problems in examination situations faced by the students to the parents, so as to allow parents to make informed choices regarding how to streamline approaches to enhancing the scholastic ability of each student.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Purchasing second hand textbooks and interaction with students is the best way to keep with the curriculum, it allows us to not only keep up to date with the content, but also the answering techniques which the students will ultimately use during the examination.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor, must be a good teacher. This means being patient, and understanding that each student is an individual with different strengths and weaknesses. A tutor should also strive to make each lesson work to enhance what is taught in school, rather than to repeat it, thus promoting a more rounded understanding of each subject taught.
