Rapport Building
Usually, i will update parents through sms or emails, on a weekly or regular basis (depending on availability or preferance of parents) with regards to their child's studies/ curriculum needs. I like to keep a close rapport with my students by sometimes having short study or leisure outings, creating fun quizzes and conducting monthly tests. They are also encouraged to email, sms or call me should there be any school homework or assignments which they need help on.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Being an avid reader, i understand that most syllables are updated regularly. I make it a point to surf online and visit Popular bookstores often to view any latest updates. Also, i download several testpapers to compare old and new curriculum, thus i'm able to figure out better and more effective teaching methods on a daily basis.
As a Good Tutor
Personally, i feel that a good tutor not only has to be very patient but also attentive in understanding a student's learning capabilities and level of interest. In creating a comfortable and lively study environment, most students are able to overcome their difficulties and indirectly strive harder in learning. I think a good tutor should have very flexible teaching approaches by keeping an open mind.
