Tutoring Subjects

Commitment / Other Details: I currently teach full time but am available to work with your child in on maths and/or science in the evenings and at weekends as suits their schedule on either a short or long term agreement.

Rapport Building: Over the past 3 years I have held the position of school-wide STEM curriculum coordinator. This role involves me teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics to students at both junior and senior age.

Having taught both the UK National Curriculum as well as the US Common Core Curriculum I am well positioned to help those students wanting to make more progress than they are currently achieving or those who may be transitioning to a different school environment including the 11+ and 13+ entrance examinations.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: My day to day job requires me to be completely up to date, not only with curriculum changes but wider theoretical understanding of progressive means of education which strive to prepare students for the 21st century.

As a Good Tutor: My philosophy as a teacher and a tutor is that everybody can achieve more if they are nurtured in an environment that suits them. I use what students love to turn maths and science into something truly relevant to them while at the same time achieving the standards expected in their school assessments.
