Commitment / Other Details
No issues with commitment as Uni only starts in august, I am free whenever to take up assignments for the next few months!
Rapport Building
I have a spontaneous and outgoing personality with no problems with social interactions! I am able to communicate well with people around me. I would ensure that as a tutor to my student, I would constantly teach and not be bossy, impart the skills that i have acquired for the certain subjects to my students to allow them to improve their grades. Encouragement is important and so is honesty. I would be honest about their child's progress to the parent.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
My sister is currently in secondary school and I occasionally help her with her school work. Hence, in order to keep myself updated with the syllabus I would be using her materials to revise and keep in check with the current content and examination format.
As a Good Tutor
I think patience and understanding my student's needs are very important. I have to know exactly what my student is weak in and not assume that they have knowledge on certain ideas or topics, but to ensure that every scope is covered and they fully understand my lesson and teachings. Step-by-step approach and practice is key to improving grades and hence I would consistently keep this in mind when approaching the student's course of learning.
