I am self employed and can start immediately. Able to commit for the long term for at least 1 year. I can do anytime during weekdays and in the west area preferrably.
Rapport Building
To build trust I will talk to them casually and understand their interests and aspirations as well as what they like to do during their free time. I believe that from this I can build connection between their studies and their aspirations which can drive the joy of learning.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have been keeping up with the primary school syllabus for math and science. As for secondary school curriculum, I am abit behind but should be able to catch up easily as I work well with numbers. I also have an aunt that is the head of mathematics in a secondary school and a good friend which I hang out every week that teaches math in a secondary school.
As a Good Tutor
Understand that every learner is different and requires a different approach. Be honest from the very start with the student about our role as a tutor which is to help them learn and peform. Get to a concensus with the student if she/he also wants the same. Also, tution is more about the learner less about the tutor, hence using references that the learner understands and relates to helps a greatly in the process of understanding a topic.
